BBC Four ident (Birds) (Real) [The TV Room]
BBC Four ident (Pool) (Real) [The TV Room]
BBC Four ident (Library) (Real) [The TV Room]
These are four recent channel identification clips for BBC Four. Unlike most such clips that I've come across, they resist the temptation of using huge animated logos, fast cutting and blaring music. Instead they are very subtle. They invite the viewers to gradually discover the split-screen composition and the relationships among the four subframes.
From The TV Room's page on these idents:
BBC FOUR revealed new on-screen presentation and idents on Saturday 10 September 2005. The new idents are based around optical illusions in which everyday images of a swimming pool, birds in flight, a library and an office are not what they at first seem. Each of the six new symbols at first glance appear to be a single image but on closer inspection is in fact made up of four separate frames.
